Botanical Series

Cultivated landscapes and flowers though beautiful, are not regular subjects for me, their obvious beauty speaks for itself. Occasionally something unexpected catches my attention and makes it's way into a batik, and there is a good chance an insect is involved. Watching insects at work has been a life long interest of mine. One of my earliest memories is squatting by an ant hill with my father, mesmerized.
